66 speedometer problem

Default 66 speedometer problem
Can a speedometer work perfectly without any jumping but way !! off on mph?

Yes- you could have the wrong plastic gear in the transmission that your speedo cable attaches to. Or it could be worn out. The gear in the tranny must reciprocate the rear end gear ratio. Plus there's a host of other things as well.
