Bouncing Speedo??
I posted on the C3 section but didnt get much feedback.
i think the C2 is similar so here goes
a friend has a 78 with a speedo needle that bounces all over. he has changed the gear at the transmission, installed and lubricated a new speedo cable but still has the problem. He asked me to get him a new speedo head unit but i cant find such a thing on the Paragon or CC websites.
Any ideas what the issue might be and how to service it or where to get a new speedo head??

Something you might try is cleaning out the speedo cable housing.
When my 66 spedo was bouncing I did pretty much what you said was done.
I wondered if perhaps there was old grease/lube build up in the housing so I disconnected both ends of the cable/housing then pulled out the cable and ran a wire back in place of the cable (from the speedo end) and attached a small piece of "rag" to the end of the wire as it exited at the trans end.
I was suprised at the junk that came from the housing.
I did it 3 or 4 times then put the cable back in the housing.
Although it did not completly eliminate the bounce, in my case it probably decreased it by about 90% ( now it bounces below 10 mph) and I can live with that.
