When did the General eliminate the hinged oil tube for the top dist shaft bushing?
Scrounging thru my 'someday may be usefull' stuff and came accross an early window dist with the oiler port. No part # band on it, no stamped numbers either.
My '56 Belair had an oiler tube, and 'Old Blue' does not.

I think the oil tube went away on single point distributors in '58-'59, whenever they came out with the tall cap and external points. Dual point small block distributors kept the tube up through '61.
