When you are prepered to start the engine up, be careful with the trottle as the injection easily floods the engine making it almost impossible to start. The starting prosedure is to put acc. pedal to the floor to trig the electric switch at the throttle linkage, and then release fully when cranking the engine. Be shure that this switch operates or engine will not start.

Default Hello

Hi

If it was a non matching numbers small block car I would throw caution to the wind change the fluids out and see what happens..But, seeing it is a relatively low mileage fuel injected car..I would go the ultra safe route. I would have the fuel injection unit rebuilt if not at least serviced...Maybe even do a rebuild on the block..

I would be SAFE than SORRY.. I know its alot of money..But, it will be much more if something gets destroyed while trying to start it up..

Good luck
