my painter has been specializing in painting C1, C2 and early C3 Vettes for 30 years and has painted many Milano Maroon cars and this is the formula that we decided on for my car.
getting it took 7 weeks of trial and error and including sending a sprayed test panel from lacquer directly to PPG to get them to match as closely as possible and even that took 3 tries for them to get it to where we would accept it.
I've compared to many other Milano Maroon cars while at shows including being parked between two other MM cars at Carlisle and EVERY single MM car I've ever seen varies somewhat either in the shade being more brown or more red and the metallic level being different.
Getting the metallic level was just as difficult as getting the color shade correct.
That formula I posted on my website is simply what we found was the best match from evidence found in the car from the orginal paint and from my painters prior experience using that color but YMMV and please don't hold me responsible if you don't mix just a small sample of that formula up, spray it on a test panel and evaluate it yourself first before spraying your entire car.
if you find the formula works for you than you are welcome to use it.
if it helps, these pics should give you an idea of the that paint formula as these pics were taken while still in the paint shop and very recently after the car was painted:
