My first post, so go easy. I own a 65 and I am trying to decode the production date of my car. K29 is stamped into the upper left hand corner of the trim tag under the glove box. I was told this is the body production date which was June 29. Is this accurate?

Yup, you have an A.O. Smith body ("A-" in front of the body number on the trim tag) that was built in Ionia, Michigan and rail-shipped to St. Louis; that's why there are 11 days between the body build date on the trim tag and the car's production date at St. Louis.
Mine was built on the same day. When you posted July 10th first, I questioned it since that was a Saturday, no production. The 9th was a Friday. At least it was just after the 4th holiday and not just before!
