The 56-57 AIM that is offered for sale is a photocopy reproduction of the last(?) version published in '57, anyway it includes all the revisions and modifications undertaken by late '57 production. Does anyone know if original sheets or copies of the early (through June) 56 AIM exist? Are they archived anywhere?

They're buried in the Chevrolet Engineering microfiche archives, but have never been made available to the public. When new pages/changes were issued, the plants threw away the old sheet, as they had no reason to keep them, and one of those plant books is where the current '56-'57 manual came from.
