Just wanted to know what carpet should or who should i buy from? Thinking about putting new carpet in my car. Its green and Iwould like to know who has the best. Will be putting it back all stock. John Z if you read this what company would you use? Thanks George
just received 2 pieces for front foot wells of the 66 . added the mass backing option [ rubberized/insulated backing] the carpet is molded to fit , is the correct 80/20 nylon etc etc colour looks correct..All their product is made to order and they have the ability to make carpet for just about any car on the road with correct OEM material . It should be a fairly simple procedure to install [ not done yet] since no messing with jute ,cutting pieces of dynamat, fiddling with glue etc. Since the car is driven 99% of the time with top down the extra sound deadening which might be achieved with dynamat is if no concern ..
price was $214 & $40 to ship Anaheim to WA .
they also supply floormats with several logo options..
I am curious as to how your carpet project is progressing , or ended. I've been in contact with this vendor and Zip regarding my 63 Convert. front only. How was the fit? What is your opinion of the mass backing and the overall install process using the 2-piece, as opposed to the multiple pieces? Thanx
I've been in contact with Willcox, but they only sell sets for the entire interior. I know they are a good vendor, I've done business with them myself. I'm only replacing the indescribable aftermaket carpet in the front only. The stock rear carpet is faded, but in great shape, and I'm not concerned about the colors matching. It's a driver. I don't think I can justify the $150+ difference, when I can buy the carpet, underlayment, heat barrier, and adhesive from Zip, for the front only. Has anyone had experience with Zip's kit. I bought many of my parts for my rebuild and they seemed OK.
Send an email to Willcoxcustomerservice@willcoxcorvette.c om The only person that can bend the rules on buying a front or rear only is at this address. See what he will do for you.
He makes our rules, we can't bend them. Maybe he will do something for you.
