58 59 color confusion
I have a 58 regal turquoise and have owned it for only about a month. Today I saw a 59 crown sapphire and it looks like exactly the same color. Too many miles apart to park them both side by side, but they sure are similar if not exactly the same. Can someone tell me if maybe they are the same color with different name? Or maybe someone goofed and painted the 59 with regal turquoise paint and now the guy who owns it is just calling it crown sapphire because he knows the 59 is not supposed to be regal turq??

59 Crown Sapphire is Dupont # 2930L
The 59 solor is a little lighter and on the blue side.

The two colors are very different. Regal Turquoise is darker with a distinct green tint while Crown Saphire is lighter with a bluish tint. In 1960 Corvette had a different color still which was called Tasco Turquoise and looks closer to Crown Saphire than to Regal Turquoise but lacks the metallic content that is in Crown Saphire. Tasco Turquoise has a light green tint rather than the bluish tint in the Crown Saphire.

1958 Regal Turquoise is more green to me. 1959 Crown Sapphire and 1960 Tasco Turquoise is closer to the same color but still slightly differ. I really love all three colors. They are unusual and rarely seen. I think we've all owned a "Red" corvette at one time or another.
