Looking for some help on my '62. I am trying to get the rear gap on the passenger door aligned better. It has a gap at the top of the door that is about 1/8"+ wider than the gap along the bottom. The rear gap is fine on the driver side. The car is assembled with bumpers, license hardware, etc. I figure I will need to add shim(s) under the right rear corner body mount, but have some questions.
(1) Do I need to loosen the body mount that is in front of right rear tire?
(2) Can I leave the bumpers on and just loosen the brackets where they attach to the frame?
(3) What is the best way to raise the body?
(4) Any idea on what shim thickness will close the 1/8" gap?
