Default trans info needed
can anyone tell me what type of car this M20 muncie 4 speed came out of. I ran the numbers and it is a early 65 the VIN is Y188304. I haven't found out how to decipher the VIN yet. maincase is 3851325 extension housing is 3846429

The "Y" is the key. Find out what plant was "Y".

Look over in the GTO websites. (maybe)...........

"Y" was Wilmington, Delaware - they built full-size cars in those days.
