Default Update

I couldn't believe it, but I dropped by the shop 2 weeks ago, and the work has begun again on the vette. All the chrome is now on, interior is progressing, and they were putting in the Griffin radiator when I drove up today. Wife was with me so I was super cool, she knows this is a $$$ pit, but remains calm and collected about the whole deal, and has only mentioned her estimate of this ordeal once in the past two years. She was low, and I was silent. Next is the A/C (Vintage Air) before the dash is reassembled, then finish the interior. Then trailer it over for the dual 3" exhaust system, then whatever..... Wish me luck, I hope the momentum keeps up.

I'm glad to hear the things are moving again.

Keep the faith, brother. When you're cruisin' down the highway, it'll all seem worth it!

Great to hear it is getting worked on again :)

427hotrod nice to fianlly see the beast

I try to hold up the rod rod end the best I can but only have a SB :cry
I guess I just can't justify the money to make it go any faster than it does.
I am hoping to work on some details and maybe a few mods this winter. I need a smiley that is praying.

427Hotrod, love that picture. Where in Houston? Yeah, it would be great to cruise the vettes together, thunder in the big city tonight. Still a ways to go, and more to do than it appears. And usually after a big work spurt comes the dreaded drought. The last one lasted almost 7 months. I am a very patient person, but it's been 3 1/2 years now. Most people I know aren't sure if I really do own a vette. I have considered bringing the car home and finishing it here, but I'm too busy, and my last project took 7 years (1969 SS396 chevelle vert) for me to almost finish, then sell to a friend, so I farmed out the work to get the project finished. So, I'll try to be patient a little longer. Your car looks great, and I love Torque thrusts on a midyear.

No one has ever asked, but to make American Racing Torque Thrust
wheels look better, you can get solid alum short caps (like on my wheels)
from
'Mr. Torque Thrust" 311 South Pine St. Burlington Wa. 98233.
Just under $100.00 per set. There are 2 screw patterns - early wheels
like mine take the small pattern, later wheels take the larger screw pattern.
There is a picture of the cap on the "custom calendar page of all places"
http://www.momentsoflight.com/cf/sta...=|C2|ALL|ALL|0

About the only thing I can think of to make your cars look better. :yesnod:
American Racing is deeply cut into the alum in the correct script.
(you can't see it in the pic, but looks realy good IMHO)
It was not easy to find this guy! He has American Racing make them up for him. Otherwise, impossible to find. (I should order another spare set!)
There, my good deed for the day!
