I have a 66 Coupe that needs the trim pieces repainted. I have used a red "dye" in the past but it takes forever to get good coverage. Any ideas on the best product.

You can first paint the trim pieces with a Krylon satin finish paint (the color I used was salmon). After that the red dye covers perfectly. Works good on metal and plastic trim pieces. Did all my trim pieces and dash this way.

Give this guy a call about your interior paint needs. I have been to his place of business and he has all the GM interior color codes. He is the supplier for several mail order suppliers. Tell him one of the guys from the Downriver Corvette Club referred you. Several of our members have used his services and have been very satisfied.
I've used two or three light coats from Corvette America to do the job in the past. In fact, I have to re-do the radio area side panels later this month. Never had a problem.
