Along with the documentation I have for my car is the "Dealer's Copy" for form Chev. 200C (Rev 3/63). This copy appears to have a had five copies with carbon paper with this copy being the fifth copy. It is manila in color and lists the dealer code, zone no., order number, specifications and options, serial number, production date, and key no. My car is a 65. Can anyone share any information about this form? Is it similar to a build sheet?
That's the '63-'65 version of what later became Copy #7 of the "Corvette Order". It was a carbon, printed at the same time, and before the car was actually built, of the window sticker, Car Shipper, and "Corvette Order Copy" (commonly known as the "tank sticker"). The production date, VIN, driveline numbers, key numbers, etc. were hand-typed on it at the end of the line, as they weren't known when the documents were printed, and a copy went with the car to the dealer. That document is actually better than a tank sticker, as it has the car's VIN on it; take good care of it.
