66' 327 with the heater core blocked off. Currently I have a 3/4 in. heater hose from the pass. side of the pump that T's into the overflow tank. On the left side of the "T" I have a 10 inch piece of heater hose that does a 90-degree turn into the side of the block.
Now that I've installed center dump headers... it's a bit of a tight fit over the header pipe into that block opening.
Can I rerout the other hose? (take it out of the pass. side of the block and put it somewhere else.)
Do I even need to rerout that hose or can I just plug that block opening and have the one line going from the overflow tank to the water pump?
I'm running an Edelbrock Performer intake.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!! - Thanks
I have no idea what the "opening in the side of the block" is, but you don't need anything rearward of the "T" at the expansion tank - just cap off the rear opening of the "T". The only hose you need is the 3/4" hose from the front of the "T" to the water pump fitting, and you can just plug the opening in the intake manifold. That's how the factory built the RPO C-48 "heater delete" cars, as shown in the C48 section in the Assembly Manual.
