Is there a reliable 63-67 exterior mirror repro?
My fancy schmancy reproduction exterior mirror on my 65 is as flaccid as my interest in politics these days.
With about 1,000 miles of driving over the last 2 years after installing this wonderful chrome and glass blingage, this mirror just won't stay up anymore.
I know about the blue locktite as one solution, I also know that recent forum threads tell us that removing the mirror glass and attempting to tighten the adjustment kibbles on a repro mirror just results in broken repro kibbles.
So my question is, after I install the blue locktite, is there any point in getting another repro mirror as a permanent solution, or do they all suck big giant donkey wieners?

Jeff,
The repo I got from Paragon is in its third year of working well and I drive my car quite a bit. You might try that Bay place and look for a restored mirror. If you were of a mind to look you might try looking up a number like 350024527900. Have no idea on the quality of the mirror just saw it after reading your post. I'll bet your car would look a lot better without that donkey weiner on the door.

Mirror
I removed my door trim. I had some small bolts with nuts and I bolted the mirror bracket to the door. This stopped almost all of the mirror vibration. I bought my repro mirrors from Eklers, they seem to be good mirrors. I think, sometimes you get a good mirror and some times they don't stay where you put them. I bought a set for my 66 El Camino and they are terrible, constantly readjusting them.
