Hi everyone,I see there is a ton of knowledge on this site and I was hoping I could get some help figuring out what 327 I have.I purchased a 84 Chevy truck years ago and when purchased the seller stated it had a Corvette 327 block, the truck was wrecked and I pulled the engine 2 years ago.It is a 327 small journal but I cannot find out much about it.Here are some numbers I got off the block; behind the dizzy- E63, right pass deck pad FO5ObS, driver side rear casting# 3782870 and in the bellhousing area R13 935 879,there is also a N32 but cannot remember where it was located. Any ideas on what this block actually come in,I am doubting it's a Corvette block.I'm thinking it is a 63 block. I sold some parts to a buddy so all I'm left with is a .30 over block,rods,balancer,screw-on filter housing and the covers.

I'm not coming up with anything for the bS code.....It should be a capital letter suffix also. Any chance that b could be something else? It's a June 6-63 casting which should still be 63 model year, but maybe 64...it looks like the F050(6)? but that would be an assembly date prior to casting date. ???? An S code fits a 63-64 Impala
79 Hugger,
That engine was also originally coupled to a Powerglide so be advised if you make future plans for it, that although it is the same forged crank as the Corvette had, you will have to add a pilot bearing.
