1953
I saw, what i was told to be a 1953. Couldn't get close enough to see serial #. My question is does anyone know the car in Greensboro,NC. This car has a "PRO TEAM" tag on the rear, Polo White with red guts. It's polished high gloss ext paint and is sitting in a furniture retail store , with a 4 ft wood and glass enclosure. Also was a LT-1 Coupe , 4 speed, A/C coupe and 58 red with white coves and red/white interior. No particular reason to ask, but just wanted to know . Nice cars sitting for the public to view. the 71 and 58 are standing alone with finger prints all over them.
The car is a '53 and is VIN 158. There is a small sign next to the car that gave a little information on it:
The car was restored and sold at auction to benefit Kyle Petty's Victory Junction Gang Camp for children with serious illnesses. The sign identified Pro Team as the owner of the car, and I have no idea of the connection between Pro-Team and a furniture retail store in Greensboro, NC. The only coincidental thing is that the store is within about 20 miles of the camp here in NC. Perhaps someone else knows the connection.
I did a Google search on the topic and found the following story about the car:

By the way, if you are not familiar with the Victory Junction Gang Camp, you should take a few minutes to check out the next link as well. This camp is a first-class operation that allows children with serous illnesses (often terminal) an opportunity to go there and be "normal" for a week. My 9-year-old neice attended the camp the summer before she died of cancer.

A worthy charity to add to the list if you are so inclined.
