I am starting a body off resto mod project and want to change the seats to something a little more confy. I was looking at a Pontiac Solstice the other day and the seats caught my attention...it looks like a good candidate but still need to check if it will fit. Anyone ever consider this? Any thoughts?
I've always liked the C3 seats between the basketweave and
huge/uncomfortable lumbar/seats of 1978... so probably 1976/1977...
nice look when in black leather....
Porsche 944 seats are also fairly easy to come by these days they are the same/basically as the 911 style.. sleek, slender... a drivers seat
Scat also makes some... yes, scat the crank mfg... called Procar
I believe...they make one which is a lowback..but has lumbar
supports... looks kind of like a lowback racing seat... I've always liked
it and thought it would look nice if redone in leather.
Another I've used is a BMW 325is (sport) seat from the early
90's... it's only in the IS model... they were made for BMW by
Recaro and are a good racing seat..
Not sure where you are in the process...just threw in everything
I could think of.... some of the Pontiac GTP seats are pretty nice
also...
Thanks for input Kyle. Next week I will do a large post marking the beginning of the project. I will describe everything I will be doing to the car and the parts I already have (engine, suspension, differential, etc.). I will also post all the "not yet decided" items to get a pool of ideas and options. I have yet to decide on seats and color scheme for the interior and exterior. The seats as seen on the picture above sure looks nice....
