Default Front Brake Shields

I am replacing the front brake shields and there is three bolts that hold it on (Bolts for the knuckle as well) Can I remove these without a problem? I don't want the front spring to go balistic !!

Mark,
As long as you don't loosen the ball joint nuts on the spindle kuckle the spring won't come out. The upper bolt is a special one without lockwasher or nut, the lower 2 have cam locknuts to hold them on. Get the felt gasket for the plate as well.
This may help. If not I can shoot you some pictures of the front spindles.
