Windshield parts
I called Corvette Central to order the parts but not sure the tech steered me right.
Here is my question, at the top of the end pieces there are 2 holes, 1 on each side of the hole that the peg on the soft top fits in. What if anything goes in the holes on either side of that one. He said nothing goes there but if not why the holes. I hope he has not steered me wrong cause my glass guy is coming Monday to install the windshield in the frame.
If there is something that goes in the holes could someone please give me the part numbers from their catalog so I can get them before Monday.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Wade

If your guy hasn't done a C1 before, good luck! I personally wouldn't have him try it if he hasn't done a number of them before. I am not so much worried about the glass in as much as the SS and windshield posts getting scratched up.
He needs to tape everything prior to handling them, otherwise you will for sure end up with scratches or worse on your nice shiny pieces. Don't ask how I know this, just know that I went through 3 windshields, getting one windshield post chromed a second time and the top and bottom SS pieces back out for dent and scratch removal!
My shared experience....
oh one more thing, don't expect the windshield to fit tight like a glove 100% around the perimeter of where it sits......it doesn't happen unless you are really lucky OR had the foresight to mud the pieces ahead of time to fix all the gaps....
good luck!!!
The only three areas that I did not like fussing with on my car....grill, dash pad and windshield!
Thanks,
Wade

not sure what holes you are talking about....the soft top locater pin has a hole and the soft top latch has a hole that it "grabs" onto.
I went out to the Paragon site and found this on the windshield pillar, note that the 56/57 is the same but DIFFERENT than what I have as a 60

Is that what you are talking about?
This is what holds the windshied inner frame in place to the windshield post. The raised tab (number 3 in the picture) on the upper frame is for the stainless steel header chrome screw.

Here is the link to them if this is what you need.
