I believe Charlie here put C4 seats in his wife's 62 but modification was required...

Absolutely. C2's are unusually tight between door and console, so it's to find seats narrow enough to fit.

I put some power '84 seats into my '64 about 20 years ago. Just swap in assembled, rails and all, you need to drill some new holes in the floor.

Incredible comfort improvement, you don't have to stop every couple of hours to walk the soreness out of your butt as with original seats.

Previous owner put some c4 seats in my 63. He bolted them straight to the floor no modifications to the car. They don't have rails or slide but I always kept my seat all the way back anyway.
I agree with sub0006 they are super comfortable. I have some jpg's somewhere if you'd like to see what they look like.

C5's in mine with modified C5 track, maintained all of the power functions. I did also modify the floor to provide clearance for motors.

When I installed the 96 rear suspension in my 66 coupe, the torque arm required a small hump in the pass side floor of the tunnel, which reduced space for the pass seat. Since the C4 seats are narrower than the originals, I used a set of 88 sport seats. I used the tracks from a 69and modified them to fit the seats and the stock floor mounting support system. They provide much more lateral support and, together with lap and shoulder belts, really make you feel more in touch with the car.

Thanks Jeff!
What did you have to do to the floor to get the C5 seat motors/tracks to fit? I really like the C5 seats also and was looking for a set when a friend gave me the C4 seats, so I used them.I would have liked to use the C4 motors and tracks but they moved the seat way too high. I briefly thought about dropping the floor but quickly gave up that idea. I did retain the power seat back and side bolsters though. Do you have any pics of your seat install and floor mod? I would love to see what you did.
Regards,
Nick

By the way, I love your car!!! Do you have more pics?
