Our #1 job now is spoiling our 4, 6 and 9 year old Grandaughters and helping them create havic with their parents. With 2 sons we were all into the cowboys, ball and Tonko trucks. With our 3 Princesses I'm learning all about Barbie, dress-up and dollhouses. PAY COULDN'T BE BETTER!!
Thanks to almost 30 years at Firestone Tire and Rubber Co as a member of the United Steelworkers I have a pension that along with my wife's 35 years in elementary education helps support our Barbie AND Corvette habit!!
Retired 5 years ago as President of a foodservice equipment and design

I work as a shepherd (PM) for a software company that caters to banks. Most of the time it's more hazardous and difficult than herding cats.
I enjoy coming home to the posh Islander21 residence to the cries of "daddy, daddy" from my 2-year old Princess and eat a warm meal prepared by the Queen. When I have some spare time I do the best I can taking care of the Blue Meanie - my 1966 'vert Laguna Blue-to-be resto-mod project.
I'm not a young whipper-snapper anymore, but retirement is far removed.
I feel somewhat small compared to what the lot of you have accomplished in your lifetimes, but only until I hear my baby calling me... I do have some time to catch up, though.

It's a blast.
After 32 years retired last year from Verizon as a Manager of Network Operations at the ripe old age of 49. Now just keep up with the house and cars. Can't really understand now how I ever had time to work. Life is good.
Johnson and Johnson biochemist and later VP of Marketing for one of their companies in CA. Started my own biotech company in 98, sold it in 2002 ( when I bought my latest vette). Now semi-retired but do some biomedical consulting mostly in Ireland.
I've been a research paleontologist since leaving grad school in 1973, so am nearing retirement. I study fossil marine mollusks in the Arctic, and have camped out among the bears and wolves the past 34 summers in Alaska, Siberia and Canadian islands in the Arctic Ocean. Scary but fun. After summer fieldwork, I spend the rest of the year identifying the species I collected and writing papers about them.

Civil Engineer. I mainly design roads, storm sewer systems, storm-water detention/retention basins and sanitary sewers for sresidential subdivisions and professional office projects. Let me tell ya, it's sloooow right now!

Vice-president and general manager of a company that provides cleanroom garment services and related products to pharma, biotech, electronics and other hi-tech industries across the US.
Retirement is still far away as my oldest is just starting college this fall. I have at least 8 years of indentured servitude ahead while paying for it! Add some more for weddings as both of my children are female.
Garage time spent tinkering on cars is my solitude and escape from work and cycling women!
Controller/Treasurer and minor shareholder of a small manufacturing company here in NW South Dakota. Great place to raise kids and the hunting and fishing can't be beat!
Semi-unemployed, meaning mostly retired, after 35 years as an environmental manager in the hard rock mining business in the west (and all over North and South America). Way to many years flying about and working in the snow at 11,000', so moved to a lower "quieter" area in Texas. I still do a bit of consulting, but driving and tinkering with the 'Vette, fishing, and taking it easy with my great wife and good friends makes for better days!!!!!!!
To all who said they are retired and life is good....... OH YEAH!
