Default '66 interior question

I'm thinking of getting new seat covers for my '66 w/ std. black interior. With the "deluxe" interior what was different from the standard? Was it just the leather seats?
Also has anyone used the "driver" leather covers from Wilcox or Corvette America? I was thinking since I'm getting new why not step up to leather. I'll never have the car judged so matching the trim tag isn't a concern to me. Would I notice a difference with the leather? I see Wilcox has a pretty good deal on foam and covers. I know that the Al Knoch pieces are top quality but is there a hugh difference especally considering how cheap I am! Car is an weekend driver, not perfect in any way, just a lot of fun to drive.

Go with the Corvette America leather covers form Willcox. The leather is cooler than vinyl in the summer and seems to be a bit more comfortable. I changed mine 10 years ago using the Corvette America leather covers and couldn't be happier.

Being that you're cheap, by your own admission of course, you'll get a better price from Willcox.

I'm in the process of installing a new interior from Willcox - seat covers & foam, door panels, visors, armrest, and carpet. Very good quality all around although the race-track trim on the door panels has a sloppy fit in places.

This entire project is the result of replacing only a few pieces of weatherstrip - then major project creep set in.

Thanks guys.
I know what you mean ratpack1968. I've accumulated a few parts for the interior already and thought that I'd tackle the seats too.
I've had both vinyl and leather seats in convertibles ( both black ) but never had changed from one to another in the same car. The top is down most of the summer and being a hot climate I still expect it to be hot but this change should help a bit.
Good to hear that Wilcox has good stuff.
