I pressed in my differential support bushings today and installed the cross member but it doesnt look like the bushings are pressed in far enough. I pressed them until the outer rubber lip flattened against the cross member.
I installed the cross member and troqued the bolts to spec but there still seems to be a lot of space between the bushing and the lip of the sombrero.
Normal, for the condition you show - the crossmember is "hanging" from the frame, pulling down on the rubber in the bushing. When the car is on wheels, the weight of the car against the spring pushes the crossmember UP towards the frame, reducing the gap.
