steering column collar difference??
Hi All...
Is there a difference in steering column collars between a 63 and 67?
Here is my issue:
I have a 63 car with a 63 column but a 67 instrumnet cluster.
The collar on the column when pushed to the cluster still has a gap above the collar where the collar does not cover it. I am trying to figure out how to fix this.

I don't think that there is a differance, however not 100%.
I had a similar problem, (65 column and cluster) when I put the collar on I had to put a spacer between the bottom of the cluster and the collar . Later I installed new body mounts and when I put the column back in the gap between the collar and the cluster had been resolved. I guess the colume was touching the firewall and after raising the body with new mounts that created enough clearence for the collar/column to fit properly.
