A nieghbour has a body off restored 1966 convertible 327/350 two tops, side exhust, knock offs, blue ext., blk int. that he is considering selling. The car is a 9 out 10. The only issue with this car is that it has a theft recovery/ police assigned vin. What would be a fair buying price for this car?
Need more information and detailed photos to determine cost. There is no way to give an accurate price with out those and still not seeing the car in person it is hard to really nail down a price. Dave
From: Park City to SoCal - according to the map it's all down hill. No bad days in Indian Wells, California
IMHO it also depends on what you want to do with it. If it's going to be judged or just driven will factoir in to what "you" fell is any form of value and/or return on your money.

it's hard enough to establish a value even with good pics.
where we live there are a few of those vin;s foating around and the census is 5/10 tho hit on price of car about the same as a one piece nose rather than original ,but if you drive it till the wheels fall off who cares you can get a great car at a bargan price
Once when I was younger, and not real bright I purchased a 81 911 targa. I found out when I had it serviced that it had been put
together, and had been a theft recovery. I sold it as I had a hard time adjusting to the fact that I had been taken.
In your case you know what your buying, however, you may find it hard to sell, to someone you don't know.
Everyone is different, but I had a hard time knowing.
