Default Starter Number?

I have had my '66 for 25 years and have never had the starter off. I had to pull it off today to get it rebuilt because it isn't working.
I see the number isn't correct. It should be 1107320 (small block);
but it is 1108386 - dated 3 G 31 (July 31, 1963 or 1973).
Anybody know what vehicle that part # belongs to?

Definitely not 63, that was 1107242, could be 73 but I don't have the books on that year.

I don't show that as a Chevrolet production usage, but it's probably been through a commercial rebuilder and the case could be from any one of hundreds of different GM starters; they lose their identity when they go through a rebuilder (which is why many rebuilders these days grind the "numbers" off the case to avoid "comebacks").
