Rich,
Looking good there my man!! Thought for sure I would be getting a call telling me you got your big butt stuck in the back of that coupe again....kinda tight back there isn't it Time to celebrate with a frosty beverage

I notice you didn't put YOUR butt back there. No one fits well in the back of a coupe. AND when you are old, inflexible and decrepit like myself it is really difficult. I guess kind of like the tunnel rats in Cu Chi.
But without the horror of what went on in there.
Wow, it's hard to believe that its the same car that you started with! I love the green on tan. And yeah, those seats will be a big comfort upgrade - headrests too! Do you have an eta on your first drive?

Thanks to everyone for the responses.
Only ETA on first drive is NOT SOON ENOUGH ! ! !
Probably three to five weeks away. I took a week off and made very good progress. Back to the salt mines tomorrow so I will only have afternoons to work on it but if I can get 3 to 4 hours a day in on it I can probably finish up within the timeline.
Need to get a few miles on it before Carlisle comes up.
Looking good Rich, I like your color contrast with the dash and the seats. I wish I was that far along on my 63 convertible project. Which auto are you running?
I love the green/tan color combo too ..... took me two long years to find that stock combo in my 67. Yours is really starting to look like a fine machine

Hey Jeff:
I picked up a TH350 out of a 78 Camaro and had it rebuilt. It already had the short tailshaft so it fit right into the vette with no modifications to the rear mount or the stock vette driveshaft.
On the dash I had the fiberglass painted Polo Green like the exterior and had Al Knoch do a set of 67 pads in the 63 vinyl skin. The seats are 02 oak color and the carpet is 77 dark buckskin color and material. It is coming together nicely, although VERY labor and time intensive to make it fit anywhere near correctly.
That metal interior trim forgot it was originally on this car and didn't seem to want to return to original locations.
I'll keep at it.
Rich
