Re-installing Generator
I am re-attaching my generator to the bracket on my 283. I noticed when I put the bolt and bushings and fastened it all down the generator moves freely without the support arm that is used for adjustment. I would expect when I tighten the nut on the bolt as tight as I can the generator would not be able to move within the bracket. I also noticed there is a bit of room between the bracket and the generator stubs that goes into the bracket. According to the books I am not short on any spacers, washers or lock washers. Is there suppose to be some play between the bracket and the generator? I assumed there shouldn't be.
