does anyone have any advice for a dash harness replacement I purchased one from corvette central, info such as procedure and the amount of time required would be great, the car is a 1964 conv. I will not be doing any detail work at this time however if it is recommended to replace anything while in there please let me know the car is a driver right now I am concerned with the down time thanks again

I did mine a few months ago in my 1965 convertible and it took me a good week. Methodically label every wire, go over the new harness so you know where to attach each wire, take lots of pictures, and lay the new harness next to the old and exchange connections one by one.

The best $12 you'll ever spend if you're doing any wiring on your car. Not a difficult job, just tedious.

This is exactly what I used too and it wasn't really that bad. The first time you do it , it is a little scary so it takes longer but if I were to do it again it would probably be done in a day. Last time it took about three to four days combined. I took loads of pictures and sketched where things went. Everything I took off I put in a baggie with a note as to what it was and where it went. Seems **** but trust me you'll forget when you are starting to reassemble everything. Make sure you get those tools recommended for the ***** and the 6" pieces to replace the screws from the cluster to slide it out. Good luck
