whats the skinny on compesite rear springs, such as which spring rate rides the best? who makes the best quality? are there any mods requiried? what do you guys who have tried everything recommend for a365hp car which mostly will be used for running down the highway? as per always your opinions are greatly appreciated
I got mine from http://www.vbandp.com/
No mods are required to install it.
I got a 360lbs the weight of the car in the front (SB or BB, AC and PS) plays a role to determine the lbs.
Also the coilpsring rate in the front matters and how sporty you want your ride.
I asked VBP and they send me a proposal for my car (BB,AC and PS).

I got mine also from VB&P but I also ordered a shorter than their stock spring due to wider rear wheels/tires. You need to let them know engine type, horsepower, etc so they can customize a spring that will be correct for your car. So call them for the information. They are very helpful. I dealt with Pattie but I think she has left to pursue another job.
If you change to a composite rear spring, you'll also need new rear shocks with much higher rebound damping to avoid the "bouncy-bouncy" syndrome, as the composite spring has no interleaf friction like the stock steel spring does. VB&P has specially-valved shocks for the composite spring application.
That said, the stock-type steel spring works just fine, and doesn't require special shocks.
