This was my 4 hole hood, definitely after the car was originally built (s/n ~3000), seemed to be a factory(hood). Holes were rough....

I've never seen this 4 hole cut out style before. Seems it would be even more restrictive. I'm Not a real good eyeballer of CFM rate. But the two hole style dosent look large enought for an L-88's air flow.

Ok ........Thats It .................. Ive decided to clean it with lacquer thinner and It's Going to go on My Wall ..... Anybody know a good Picture Frame Shop ? and 34 lbs hooks ?

Default L88 Hood OEM or Not?


Can anyone help on identifying if my 67 has an OEM L88 hood or aftermarket? Bought the car 11 years ago and it's been in storage ever since. It also has the original 327/300 engine.

Nice parts Wayne. I think I may still have a 3908129 fiberglass hood sections in storage. That panel was available from GM for many years after 67. I remember several guys that bought them and installed them on their hoods for street use.
