Default remove fuse box

How do get the fuse box off the interior side of the fire wall? I need to do the red wire fix, because of a bad pin in the firewall side of the connection, and I need to get to the back of the fuse box to get to the red wire. Most my fire wall insulation is intact. Do I need to cut some of this out to get to screws? Thanks once again for the help.

I'm guessing this is about a 63-67 car?

Disconnect the 2 harnesses that plug into the fuse panel, on the engine side of the firewall.

From the interior side of the car, there are two, 5/16" (I think that's the size) screws that hold the fuse box to the firewall, although one of those 2 screws is obscured by one of the fuses.

Don't think you'll have to cut any firewall insulation.

Arrows point to screw locations.

Default It' done

Thanks guys for the information and pictures. I did as advised and ran a 12 gauge wire through the firewall and soldered the connections. It was kind of tight quarters under the dash, because I didn't want to split the wire bundle very far. But it worked out good, now hopefully the air-i-tis is a thing of the past.
