Ok guys I am trading out a original T10 transmission on my 63 with a super T10 in a effort to save the original from my abuse. I know they make a Ujoint that makes the conversion from the 10 spline yoke to the 26 spline yoke. I have used this before but don't know a number. It seems that around here if you cant tell them the original car it came out of your out of luck. Any help on a part number or other info.
You don't need a U-joint, you need a YOKE. The old T-10 has a 16-spline output shaft, and the (OEM version) Super T-10 has a 32-spline output; don't know what the output shaft is on the aftermarket version of the Super T-10, if that's what you have.
The common transmission swap in C1s was to go from the stock T10 to a Muncie. The Muncie came in later model Corvettes. In the day, the Muncie was considered superior to the T10, and they were more plentiful. In order to make the swap, you needed a different yoke.
The openings on that different yoke are not the same size as the openings on the driveshaft. Therefore, the cups on the U-joint need to be 2 different sizes. Spicer (and maybe others) made a U-joint for this. I believe it's common. Maybe this is what you're referring to.
In addition to needing a different yoke to fit the output shaft of the transmission, you may also need a different U-joint to mate the new yoke to the existing driveshaft.
I probably did not make myself clear on what I had. I do have a corvette yoke that is for the super T10. It has a output shaft the same as a 400 turbo automatic, so what I am needing is the ujoint to adapt the stock drive shaft to the larger (wider) yoke. I didnt know if anyone had the number for that yoke. Sorry for the unclear post.
If you take the new yoke and the old u-joint to the auto supply house, they will be able to measure it and find one that fits for you.
Good luck with that. Most will ask what it's for and if it ain't in their part book, they're not about to start opening boxes and mic-ing U-joint diameters to find the perfect match.

I found it in my notes for my rear end (to match the c-2 drive shaft to the c-3 pinion companion flange)...
No guarantees, as I did this a LONG time ago..
This sounds correct as to a part number. It can also be interchanged into another brand if catalogues are present at the parts store. A computer only parts joint will not be able to help you. They would need to use size charts not applications.

The part number still works.
I went to carquest yesturday and they looked it up and converted it to their number. It was the right one. We are lucky to have a carquest that has their distribution center connected to it so if it is in town it is available right then and their. Surprise the u-joint was made in the USA also. Thanks for the help
