Okay, on a 1960 corvette that is going thru a frame off restoration, what shocks would be best for originals.
I'm not going to drive it that much, I am more interested in being correct from factory.
depends what you want in the ride and how much you want to spend. There are regular shocks, self-adjusting shocks, user-adjustable shocks, stiff shocks, super stiff shocks, etc. Some people like Bilsteins, others think they are too bouncy and stiff. Some like Konis and QA1s which are fully adjustable.
For regular driver vettes, lots of guys recommend the KYB's. I got them all around and painted them with the correct gray just for detail.
I have Koni adjustables on my '65 coupe and 67 Camaro and have put a set of KYB high pressure gas monotubes on a '62 I'm restoring for a friend at the moment. I have fitted a number of sets of the KYB monotubes to C2 and C3s lately and been very impressed with the ride quality.

Hi Tina,
You really need to get an NCRS Judging Manual for your car, in there it likely will tell you what to look for in a 1960 shock. They will be Delco shocks. I BELIEVE they will have a spiral design pressed into the outer tube, like this
Note that the e-bay link shows 2 slightly different shocks. I'm not advocating you buy those specific shocks, just showing you the spiral you need to look for.
