Nitromethane?

While cleaning up the garage I found a couple gallons of nitromethane left over from when my my son and I played with model planes and boats. I think it's only 10% or 20%.

Other than making the exhaust smell really nice, would there be any harm in dumping it in the tank of the '66?

Hoping to stretch my gas dollars.

Depends on what the other 80% or 90% consists of, don't ya think.

i guess it would do the same as if you dumped in 2 stroke gas(basically that is what it is). 10% to 20% Nitro, 70% to 80% Gas, and about 10% Oil.

Nitromethane now sells for $2,000 a drum, which contains about 40 gallons.

I thought the pleasant smell came from the oil in the fuel.

Circle track cars running Castrol always smelled good on Friday nights at Bellclair speedway.
