Blue Corrosion on Plug Wire Terminal?
I pulled my wires out of the cap to replace the Distributor cap on my
'61. The wires are 8mm taylors that are fairly new. One of the terminals on the wires that goes in the cap has blue corrosion on it. I cleaned it up as good as I could. Should I just replace the wire intead of cleaning it? What is causing this corrosion and is there a good cleaning agent to clean the terminal better? Thanks Larry

Larry,
Blue corrrosion is typically copper oxidation. Maybe that one wire had the boot up a little and this caused the corrosion. If you can clean it up where there is no more blue I think you would be ok.
