Is it necessary to rivet the rear brake disc to the spindle? Planned to forget the rivets but not sure if some purpose is served. Close to assembling the '66's spindles but have to rivet the discs first if I decide to do it. No rivets when I took them apart. Doing an original restoration but don't plan to have NCRS judged. Doubt this would be checked anyway. Thoughts?
