Value 54 blue flame engine?

What is the value of an well working 6 cyl 1954 blue flame engine?

The 6 went in a number of chevrolets in 54. Does you motor have a Corvette head, number matching block, 3 one barrel carbs, tach drive distributor, correct water pump and base, correct oil pan?

About 5 years ago, I sold an original 54 Corvette long block, taken from my running 54. Had about 600 miles on it. Was a real Corvette motor, stamped F54YG.

Sold it for $1,500.00. NO head, just the running block with crank, cam, etc. No oil pan, no water pump, etc.

It may be my fuzzy memory (I was only 10) but I think my Dad's '54 Belair had "Blue Flame" on the valve cover.

Anyway the engine was painted blue.
