Default Servicing Guide - Question

I have the 53 - 62 Corvette Servicing guide. I was just curious if there was such a thing as a 63 - 67 servicing guide, or for that matter a 68 - 82 servicing guide. I tried Googling it but nothing came up.

Thanks,

-Dave

I believe (and will be corrected if I'm wrong), that was replaced in 63 with the 63 Corvette Shop Manual.

For 64, you got to buy the 63 Corvette Shop Manual plus a thin 64 Supplement. Same in 65. I THINK in 66 things changed.

I have the 53-62 corvette servicing guide, as well as the 63 Corvette Shop Manual and the 65 Supplement.

There was also a Passenger Car servicing manual for pre 63 which had more detail for those chassis repairs that were common for all Chevy products.

Yep, just checked Corvette Central's web site for "Books & Manuals" for 63-67. 1966 and 1967 each got a dedicated manual.

Try ebay for GM service and chassis manuals for your year.

It's a lot simpler to just go to the NCRS on-line store at www.ncrs.org and order them - they're all in stock, and members get a discount.

NCRS is a great outlet and I advise anyone to join! While people that are members do not have to be involved in functions, the information supplied to you from being a member is priceless. In most cases NCRS will have re-prints of the original manuals.

In the case of a still in print manual you should contact Helm Inc. direct! I believe that some of the original manuals are still in print and available form Helm Inc. Helm was the publishing company for General Motors for years and believe it or not, they would sell to the public at the same price as the GM dealerships.

In the old days each publication (parts books) came with a card for re-ordering that included the phone number and address. I do not have this info on my laptop, but if anyone wants to try this to see what is available, email me at Willcoxcustomerservice@willcoxcorvette.c om I will email you the contact info on Helm.

Willcox Inc.
