Plexiglass buckets?
Since my son and I discuss the mods we're doing on the '64, he wanted to go with fixed headlights. I realize this is probably blasphemy, but I kinda like the idea too. Like the ones they used on the old C2 racecars.
Does anyone know someone who can form some plexiglas headlight covers to replace the buckets, or am I on my own?
Thanks for any advice.

Don't know if this dealer from Burlingame, Calif, knows who did the mods on the Blue 64 he's been trying to sell with the fixed headlights and clear plexiglass covers but you might inquire.

Thanks, Vet65te. That's not exactly how I would do them but a good start nonetheless.
By the way, the car is resto-mod in the making and was never intended to be a numbers matching, perfectly correct car. There are those here that will look down their nose at it, but that's their privilege. It will be bitchin in our eyes when completed, and those are the only eyes that need to be pleased.

If you're asking about something along these lines, it may take Jim Gessner or one of the racer-types to know the source.....

Check with Jim Glass Corvettes in NY. He knows a guy who makes them. [url]http://www.jimglasscorvette.com/files/Vintage%20Racing.html

Find a local plexi guy, give him a pair of metal headlight buckets for patterns, and have him bend 'em, then cut 1/8" or so larger to fit the stock openings.
Or do it youself in the oven at home. LOL with the spouse!
