The book in the link posted by fine59 is the ST-12, if you have one of these old Corvettes this book is a must. If you shop around you can buy it for less $$.
The ST-12 is mentioned in the link that I posted also.

Yeah, I think he likes his book. Keep looking I guess. Thanks for note

1) Removing/Installing is a two man job
2) Make SURE you remove the nuts holding the windshield that are hidden by the defroster ducts.
3) If you windshield side pillar 'tabs' are broken they must be repaired..these tabs are extensions at the bottom of the side pillars that provide extra support to the glass frame. I will post picture of mine later under "C1 Dash Pad Removed" thread.

I continue to be amazed by these guys who put a book that's available from all the Corvette vendors for $25.00 on eBay and watch it bid up to 2 or 3 times the retail price by people who don't know any better.
The ST-12 is a MUST for any C1 owner, and all the vendors have it, including the NCRS on-line store at www.ncrs.org.
it only took me 3 windshields to get mine in.......one thing to remember, GM never made these cars perfect, so if you try to make the fit or anything else perfect as you go, you might as well order another windshield right now, you are going to need it!

after I broke the first windshield trying to assemble it into the frame, I had Solidaxle on here assemble the second one. His team did a nice job but then I was trying to get it perfect to the car and found a way to mess all the assembly up. In the process, I found a way to chip the windshield. So back it went to him again, only this time I also had to have some of the SS polished again as well as send the window post back to Pauls to get chromed AGAIN!
The third time was a charm and as my friend and I put it on the car, we were very careful this time.....turned out ok, not great, not bad, just ok IMHO.
So there is my story......the front bumpers were another story and not fun either!

Thanks for that tip John...
I picked up the phone, called NCRS ...had the ST-12 on the way in 2 minutes. Real nice folks...even offered to send a little info on the club..
Yeah, Pad is getting changed. Got a red one for a 58?
Don
As a matter of fact I do have a practically new red one. Whether it's correct for a '58 I don't know. It was freshly installed by Homer and Jethro in my '61, without removing the instrument pod!
So you might say there was a little trimming going on that didn't look to swift...

It's cheap though...ha!
Stan..
Heck, I already got one of them Stan. Might have been interested if Ellie May had anything to do with yours....
