Where to have seat belts rebuilt
Hi,
Where do you guys recommend sending a set of original seat belts to be rebuilt? The straps are stained with rust and the retracting mechanisms are frozen. Thank you.

I used snake oil in texas. They were originally delivered 3 weeks past the estimated rebuild time of 5 weeks and the paint was bad. They fixed the problem and I had perfect belts in another week. Great belts, very very expensive and crap service.

I think it might be: SSNAKE OYL" or something like that.
My experience with them was very good.
This happened about four years ago so I don't remember a lot of the specifics, like the odd spelling of their company name. However, my Bright Blue belts now look great and the cost wasn't outrageous.
One vote here for SSNAKE OYL in Texas.

i used ssnake oyl twice. service and quality was great.
and since my vette must be shrinking or i'm getting bigger. they supplied a slightly longer driver belt , same color and original label sewed on.

Charlie did the belts for my 63. Fine work. Not a super chit chat kind of guy, but I wanted nice belts, not chit chat !!
