According to my 'source'.....It's a GMPP Bowtie reproduction of the 1970 LT-1 intake (3972110). And it's a keeper!

Buns,

Did the 70 LT-1 have the provision for the oil fill in the manifold?? My 70 did not. It had it in the valve cover. Possible that they cut out for the oil fill in this manifold???

This is the original style Z28/LT-1 intake manifold.
IT IS THE BEST ALL AROUND DUAL PLANE HI-RISE ALUM INTAKE MANIFOLD EVER MADE BY CHEVROLET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The KEY term here is ALL AROUND-------------------NOT specific purpose!
This style manifold was used on 67-72 Z28 Camaros and 70-72 LT-1 Corvette 350 engines.
The 67-68 Z28 manifold was slightly different from the 69-72 versions. That difference was at the very front of the manifold. The thremostat housing was in a slightly different position and the holes for the temp/heater hose fittings was slightly different. Then, in 69, those changed to the position in the above picture. The reason for those changes at the front of the manifold is because the alternator mounting changed from the left side to the right side in 69 and the configuration of the front of the manifolds (alum and iron) made slight changes to accomodate the change in alt mounting.
The 67-69 manifolds all had the hole for the oil filler tube. The LAST year for an oil filler tube on a SB Chevy engine was 1968. The hole was still in the manifold for 69 models, but it was plugged with a metal plug like a freeze plug. The 70-72 manifolds had this area cast over, but the boss was still there, thus it was fairly easy to machine the manifold to accept an oil fill tube if needed.

The mainfold in the picture above IS a GM replacement. Why? because it has the flanges at the bottom of the intake runners. The ORIGINAL manifolds installed on production cars were "plain" all the way to the end of the runner where it mated with the head (shown below). This is the fastest and easiest way to spot an original from a replacement. You don't have to check casting numbers or anything else. Just lookd to see if it does or does not have the flanges!

As already mentioned, that is the service replacement that was available from the parts dept (it is NOT an aftermarket manifold). Also available from the parts dept, was a cast iron version of this manifold, but it was cast/machined to accept either a Holley or Q-jet, whereas the alum manifolds ONLY had a Holley bolt pattern.
I am NOT an Ebayer, but I understand lots of stuff shows up there frequently. So that may be a good source to check. Remember, to determine if it was a production or replacement manifold, simply look at the end of the intake runners to see if there is a flange.
I personally like the look of the no-flange version.
