How Much Posi Additive?

I was told that one 4oz. bottle of the posi additive was all that is required in the differential however the haynes manual says two. Anybody know which is correct?

Two bottles for a complete fluid change to start and if the clutches still grab, put another in. I have had to do that before.

Do you need ANY additive if you are running pure synthetic lube? I've heard you don't need the additive.

some people say 'yes', some 'no'.... better to add it and be safe....

Good question, some of the bottles say "no special additive required"

I usually use about a tube. I prefer the KY Brand.

... Oh wait..., what was that???

OOOOOHHHHHHH he said posi fluid.

If the posi is hammering around corners use 2, if not and you're just doing a PM then use Lucas 85-140 gear oil and 1 bottle-only use GM additive. If you still have hammering then you can either drive it or drop the diff and build the posi to stop hammering.Many know how I do this.
