I do have one more comment here. I have seen several posts about stupid questions. Ain't no such animal. None of us were born with a silver plated 9/16" wrench in our mouths so you have to learn somewhere. I started my auto experience with a brand-new, out-of-the-box 1972 Datcun 240Z (anyone know where I can find a nice one?) and drove that car for seven years. I learned lots from hanging out at the Air Force auto hobby shop. Same thing when I bought my first Corvette, a 66 driver. I asked every question imaginable, like what is a four bolt main, how does positraction work, etc.
I would suggest that first we look in the archives, then post the question here. Nobody has ever been flamed for asking a simple question.
.......i'd agree that it's important to acknoweldge the help we get from the pros....'though i'm not that concerned about repeat questions coming back for a re-review...take a look at the TheOman's post about sb oil pans where he sent the poster back to a thread where i had my shorts in a wad about hiperf oil pans and steering dampers - some other interesting stuff came out of that latter thread :yesnod:
I think it's largely a generational thing- you know, it's like when you pay at the register; the older cashier usually says "Thank You". The younger ones shove your receipt at you and say "There you go", if they say ANYTHING at all. There I go WHERE?
Or even worse, they wait for YOU to thank THEM for taking your money! Times have been too good for too long. All these rude, ignorant ingrates need a dose of reality, IMHO.
