54 timing mark?

54 timing mark?
Anyone got a pic of what the heck the mark looks like? I surmise it's on the flywheel because I see a pointer on the trans housing hole but I don't know what it looks like. Using the thumb over #1 compression method I find what looks like a small raised dot....just not sure.

Yep. Its the same deal Dave. A small ball bearing embeded in the flexplate. Paint it white for ease of reference. On my 54 lining up the pointer with the ball bearing does not indicate exactly TDC. I understand when they are aligned the points should just be breaking open. So this would be as some specified degrees before or after TDC.
