paint code help
I have a 65 and the paint code on the trim tag says 900CC. According to the book I have this is Ermine White, but the body shop's computer is saying Tuxedo Black. Can anyone confirm that 900CC is White or Black for 1965? Thanks!

You are correct. 65 model year paint codes for St Louis built bodies all started with the #900 followed by a 2 letter code. CC = Ermine White
AA= Tuxedo Black. For the 64 model year 900= Tuxedo Black.
AA= Tuxedo Black. For the 64 model year 900= Tuxedo Black.

The body shop is probably using the "900" prefix for the paint code instead of the CC. The 65 model was the only midyear to use a two letter paint code. All other midyears used three numerals and incidentally, 900 was the code for black.
