Default for some parts only.

I just ordered a new power brake booster , 1967 dual reservoir
Master Cylinder , brake proportioning valve and a heater core from Partsladi in Florida $50 for the M/C where everyone else is $90 or so.
the booster was $100 when other places ask $200 >>
Got a complete bumper to bumper wiring harness thru them a year ago
probably saved $150 .. they don't stock small things, gaskets etc but worth a look..and they say if you don't see it phone It's a " EBay" store . just google 'Partsladi"
Shipping Florida - WA is 5 days and no back order problem when you phone they tell you [ or not ] if they have it

I've had great luck with CC; parts arrive in a couple of days nearly always...Eckler's which is physically a 50 minute drive from my home takes a week or longer...

(1) Because I am cheap. With my discount at CC they are $75.00 each. LICS wants $120.00 each.

(2) Because I didn't need them right away and I didn't believe it would take almost a year to get them. I don't imagine there are too many manufacturers of these motors. If LICS can get them, why can't they?

I have also had good luck with CC....I have had a few parts on back order but since my car is under construction it hasn't hurt much.
The best thing about them is that on the occasions when I have decided to return a part because of taking a different route, I have had no problems doing so. I had one chrome part which had a scratch on it when I received it and I had no problem with returning it. Service after the sale is important.
In today's cost competitive market few vendors stock every part they sell, if they did the prices would be much higher to cover their inventory.I would much rather get a lower price and occasionally have some wait time.

I've ordered hundreds of parts from LIC over the course of my restoration. Only one backorder, and that was shipped within two weeks. All other parts arrived either overnight or within two days (they're about 100 miles away from me).

no one has said anything about Paragon. that is who I used for my '60. do they not have C2 stuff as well? I got my delivereies in one day sometimes 2. Yes, sometimes things were on back order but not very often.

I've made the switch from CC to Long Island also. CC people were always pleasant but stuff would come spread out over a month. If I ordered 12 separate things I might get 3 different boxes over a couple of weeks then the last piece came about a month later.

Now that I don't have to suffer their phone reps and they put up a great web-site I'm a happy camper. I've had no backorders and stuff is delivered in 2 days. Life is good. By the way, I live in NY and it's worth paying sales tax not to have the agrevation of "not in stock". just my opinion

I've been ordering from CC for about 14 years and have been generally happy with them. Sometimes parts were back ordered, but don’t remember it taking more than a couple weeks to send and usually I wasn’t in a big rush to get it.
